Course Description:

Care staff may encounter a variety of risks to their personal safety in the course of their work. Three areas in which a lone worker might feel vulnerable to risks include travelling for work, working at night, and confronting situations that may occur with other people. This course looks at various examples of risks and explores strategies staff can employ to help maintain safety and to minimise risk.

Learning Outcomes:

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Develop awareness of why home care workers may experience riks to their personal safety as a result of lone working.
  • Identify strategies that can assist with minimising these risks.
