Course Description:
One of the most important ways to maintain your wellbeing is to protect and support your musculoskeletal system. In this course, you will learn how to minimise day to day risks and look after yourself.
Learning Outcomes:
After completing this course, participants should be able to:
- Explain how the musculoskeletal system works
- Identify the factors that lead to musculoskeletal strain or injury
- Practise good posture and correct manual handling techniques to prevent musculoskeletal injuries
Who is this course appropriate for:
This course is appropriate for staff who use manual handling techniques in their daily work tasks, including registered and care staff.
Continuing Professional Development Hours:
Up to 8 hours can be earned completing this course.
You can earn 1 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hour by completing the video and assessment questions. If you wish to extend your learning and earn up to an additional 7 CPD hours, you may download the extension exercise which is attached to this course.
