Course Description:

Be able to list the key features of common equipment for hearing and vision loss. Ensure equipment is correctly used and maintained.

Learning Outcomes:

After completing this course, participants should be able to:

• Recognise the impact of poorly maintained support devices on the older person’s quality of life.
• List common devices used to support hearing and vision and how they function.
• Identify common issues, maintenance and troubleshooting solutions to support appropriate use of hearing aids.
• Identify common issues, maintenance and troubleshooting solutions to support appropriate use of glasses.
