Course Description:
Vulnerable people face a higher risk of being subjected to a range of abuses. This course will help you develop greater awareness of the common types of abuse and what your role is as a carer in managing the risk.
Learning Outcomes:
After completing this course, participants should be able to:- Define safeguarding and describe common types of abuse and how they might occur
- Recognise possible signs of abuse
- Know the actions required if abuse is suspected
- Recognise the role staff play in managing the risk of abuse by promoting a positive culture based on respect, dignity and personal choice

This course is perfect for support staff, senior staff, and management in the disability setting.
