Course Description:
Explore how dementia impacts the physiology of the brain and its effects on an individual’s ability to perform activities of daily living. This course follows a person living with dementia and his wife and features Colm Cunningham as subject matter expert.
Learning Outcomes:
After completing this course, participants should be able to:
- Define the different types and causes of dementia
- Explore the impact dementia has on the individual’s ability to perform activities of daily living
- Identify how to communicate effectively with people with dementia
- Discover how to support and assist people with dementia to participate in everyday activities in meaningful ways
