Course Description:
Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) are one of the most common infections in older people; however, they can often go undetected. In this course, we explain the signs and symptoms of UTIs and explore appropriate actions and preventative measures that staff can take.

After completing this course, participants should be able to:
- Define what a urinary tract infection is, the different types of UTIs and the symptoms
- Explain the causes, risk factors and the dangers in regard to morbidity and mortality
- Identify and implement preventative measures and be aware of the correct treatment
