Course Description:
Did you know that among older people living in UK care homes today, the rate of severe loneliness is more than twice as high as for people living in the community?
In this course, learners will explore the difference between loneliness, solitude and social isolation. The course describes the potential impacts on physical and psychological wellbeing and outlines approaches that learners can apply to respond to individual needs.
